The reality that summer is almost over is upon us. September is not just the start of the school year for us, but more importantly it’s our month to raise our voices even higher than normal about Childhood Cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
This year is our busiest yet.

We are proud to be apart of the proclamation in Pennsylvania which declares September Childhood Cancer Awareness month. We received the official document from Governor Wolf on Shane’s 4th birthday.

The growing awareness of childhood cancer has brought about many events throughout the month which we can all be involved in. I will post them as they come along.

Shane’s Future Days is working with Kendra Scott in Ardmore, PA to help host a Shop for a Cause event on September 7th to benefit our foundation in honor of Shane and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We hope to see many locals out on that night to help kick start what we hope will be a BIG month for bringing to light a battle that continues throughout the months, years and really, forever, for families affected by childhood cancer.

We are so excited for our upcoming event September 7th in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness month!

Come shop at Kendra Scott from 6-8 with some sips and sweets!
20% of the sales will go to Shane’s Future Days!

The holidays are coming and this is a perfect way to get yourself or someone you love a beautiful piece of jewelry all while giving back to help fight childhood cancer in Shane’s memory.

The morning of his 4th Birthday, (7/11),  Paul and I received an email from Dr. Keller, the researcher from cc-tdi.
He was asking if it was OK to feature Shane and our family in a grassroots crowdfunding campaign for their Legacy Gift program.

The email was truly a gift to us because he had this to say:
” I know it must be bittersweet to hear that we use Shane’s cells and mice as our ‘ultimate test case’ to make decisions about promising drugs, but it’s equally his story and your passion for future families that make Shane’s memory prominent in our minds each day.”

This means everything to us. It’s Shane’s legacy and what we can tribute to help find a cure so that other families do not have to go through what we did.
Research like this is the key to understanding these rare cancers.

We will proudly be donating the research funds raised from our 3rd annual Celebration of Life to this campaign.

For those of you who wished you could have attended and/or wanted to contribute, please consider a small donation to this campaign in memory of Shane.

CureFast: creating a Legacy by accelerating Childhood Cancer Research

Shane’s Future Days is so thankful to all our extremely generous donors and sponsors for our 2017 Celebration of Life event.

You all contributed to help raise $17,000.

Last year, we were able to expand our footprint as a foundation. We only hope this year we can go the distance!

Thank you for helping us along the way!
